Daniele Giorgi
Daniele Giorgi – Conductor, composer, violinist, and artistic director — is passionately dedicated to music from multiple perspectives.
He is the conductor and driving artistic force behind Orchestra Leonore, an ensemble he founded in 2014 and regularly leads in major concert halls. In October 2024, he conducted a triumphant tour featuring Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony to mark the orchestra’s tenth anniversary, culminating in a concert at the Elbphilharmonie (Großer Saal) in Hamburg. The tour was completely sold out and marked the beginning of an exciting collaboration with the Philharmonischer Chor München.
In 2025, he was appointed Artistic and Musical Director of I Solisti di Pavia, a versatile and dynamic chamber orchestra which he leads both as conductor and concertmaster.
Daniele Giorgi is also Artistic Director of the musical seasons of the Fondazione Teatri di Pistoia, and the creator of Floema—a project in which the musicians of Orchestra Leonore, together with students and amateur instrumental and choral ensembles, create new listening opportunities for diverse audiences. With particular attention to people in vulnerable situations, Floema brings music to unconventional venues such as hospitals, prisons, care homes for the elderly, and schools, with the aim of shaping an innovative and sustainable model of interaction between musical institutions and civil society.
Winner of several awards at the 8th Antonio Pedrotti International Conducting Competition, he served as assistant to Lorin Maazel at the Symphonica d’Italia and has conducted numerous orchestras including the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, Czech Chamber Philharmonic, Orchestra of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, Orchestra di Roma e del Lazio, Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino, and ORT – Orchestra della Toscana, establishing long-term collaborations with several of them. In 2022, he made his debut at the Konzerthaus Berlin, and in 2023 at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Festival.
Daniele Giorgi has nurtured a passion for composition from a very young age, and his music has been performed at major festivals in Italy and abroad. After completing his violin training, he gained extensive experience as concertmaster, collaborating with prestigious orchestras and enjoying a rich musical life also as a soloist and chamber musician.
