Pavia Cello Academy

As part of the cultural aims of the Fondazione I Solisti di Pavia, 2012 saw the launch of the Pavia Cello Academy, the first Italian Academy dedicated to the cello and led by Enrico Dindo.

The academy is focused on promotion and musical training of artists and connoisseurs of this instrument. It offers a teaching activity articulated in annual lessons held by Enrico Dindo and in Master Classes taking place at the magnificent Sala degli Affreschi in the Borromeo College and led by internationally renowned teachers such as Antonio Mosca, Frans Helmerson, Giovanni Sollima, Asier Polo, Gustav Rivinius, Antonio Meneses, Maria Kliegel, Rocco Filippini, Gary Hoffman, Young-Chang Cho, Massimo Polidori, Thomas Demenga, Gabriele Geminiani, Emil Rovner, Jens Peter Maintz and László Fenyö.

Under the guidance of the Academy’s great masters, young students have the opportunity to perfect their technical and interpretive training through the study of the most important cello repertoire.
